PulsarGenerator, a New Sound Synthesis Program for MacOS

CREATE is pleased to announce PulsarGenerator, an interactive sound synthesis program for MacOS. As of January 2003, the full working version is available free of charge.

COMPATIBILITY

• Runs on PowerMacintosh 8600/9600, G3, and G4 computers
  
• Runs under MacOS 8.5.1, 8.6, 9.0, 9.1
  
• Allocate at least 35 MB of RAM to PulsarGenerator
  

The program, developed by Alberto de Campo and Curtis Roads, generates sound particles called pulsars. The theory of pulsar synthesis is explained in the March 2001 issue of the Journal of the Audio Engineering Society.
